Le Rouge adds Spiro Pliakos, Tyler Moorman & Ali Al-Gashamy

Detroit City FC has been busy in the last few days, announcing three additions to the already stacked DCFC roster.

Spiro Pliakos, a forward, and midfielders Tyler Moorman and Ali Al-Gashamy were added to the roster over the last three days by way of Twitter from the DCFC brass.

Spiro Pliakos

Pliakos, a natural forward out of Rochester Hills, Mich., comes into the Le Rouge roster to add depth to the forward line. A sophomore for the University of Detroit Mercy, Pliakos has played in 19 games for the Titans, scoring seven goals and adding 15 assists in his time on the pitch.

Known to be more of a playmaker in collegiate play, Pliakos played a more rounded out game at the high school level. The forward scored 33 goals and captured 31 assists in his career at Rochester High School.

The Michigan-native was handed All-American honors in his senior year with the Falcons.

Tyler Moorman

Moorman, a junior who also plays his collegiate soccer at Detroit Mercy, adds even more depth to a very padded midfield for Detroit City FC.

Playing in 37 matches for the Titans, Moorman has scored a total of seven goals in his collegiate career while playing in the midfield. He played central defender throughout his development, leading East Kentwood High School to a state championship in 2012.

As a defender, Moorman finished his high school career with 12 goals and five assists from the back. He also played for the Grand Rapids Crew for a total of five years.

Moorman won the 2011 Disney Showcase Championship with the Crew.

Ali Al-Gashamy

Born in Samawa, Iraq and raised in Kristiansand, Norway; Al-Gashamy has played collegiate soccer for the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs since the 2013-2014 season.

For the Bulldogs, Al-Gashamy has started 45 out 48 games played and has recorded 14 goals as well as 15 assists for his team. In 2014-2015 Al-Gashamy fired 37 shots-on-goal, leading to a total of 43 points collected in his 48 games played.

Oh, and Al-Gashamy is featured as a player in hit video game "FIFA '16".
